Applications to the 11th IASS Hangai Prize is OPEN

The 11th IASS Hangai Prize will be
awarded at IASS2013, Wroclow, Poland.

The contest papers/resumes should be prepared following the Sample Paper and submitted through the HANGAI PRIZE Online Application Page. In order to avoide the double elaboration of applicants we also accept the papers/resumes prepared following the symposium format but their number of pages must not exceed six. They should be converted in the PDF files. The applicants should send their contest papers/resumes files to the HANGAI PRIZE committee by the date limits which are separately set for each IASS annual symposium.
The contest will be held several months prior to the IASS annual symposium. The results will be notified to all applicants in a few months time after the date limit. Non-IASS members are also welcome to the contest.

Conditions of the applicant

  1. The applicant's age should be under thirty (<30) at the end of the year of the annual symposium, when the winners are given the prizes.
  2. The applicant should be the primary contributor of the research, the project or the idea presented for the prize.
  3. The applicants must attend the symposium to present their works and to receive the medals if they are selected as the winners.

If you wish to join the contest

Send the abstract of the paper and the full paper to the symposium organizer as a regular participant.
Indicate the information that you are an applicant to the IASS Hangai Prize when you submit the full paper to the symposium. The symposium organizer will wait for your registration fee until the contest results appear.

  3. Submit the paper to the Hangai Prize Committee through the HANGAI PRIZE Online Application Page by the date limit.
  4. Results of the contest will be notified to all applicants in a few months time after the date limit.

If you are selected as a winner

  1. Continue to follow the regular registration process of the symposium.
  2. You will receive the Hangai Prize Medal, Certificate and one year free membership of the IASS when you attend the symposium. You will also have a special opportunity to present your contest paper during the symposium.
  3. You may be also offered some other additional merits, such as an application of reduced registration fee or accomodation at low price, from the Symposium organizers.
  4. Attending the symposium is the necessary condition for the winners to receive the medals and other merits above described. When they cannot attend the symposium in the very year they can postpone the attendence to the next year symposium but no further.

If you are not selected

  1. You can of course cancel the registration to the symposium.
